Printing nature
aim.
Ever since Industrialisation and even before, we have put our imprint on nature and sculpted it to our liking. Printing nature demonstrates the switch around happening in the more recent years, with society giving back power to the environment and it taking back its roots with the uprising of climate change.
To illustrate this reversing of roles, I created a series of six tattoos inspired by natural elements (roots, leaves, wood…), which I stamped on my model’s body according to the spiritual meaning of placements in tattoo culture.
